Online Psychotherapy

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 10 years of clinical experience providing mental health counseling and consultation with children, adolescents, and adults. I currently offer online psychotherapy for clients in the state of California through a secure, HIPAA compliant video platform. Individual sessions are 50 minutes.

Although research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy, it may not be a fit for everyone. Please reach out for a free 15 minute consultation to discuss if this may be right for you.

Find a Private Space

Identify a private and separate room away from other people to minimize any distractions and protect your privacy. 

Use Headphones With a Microphone

Using headphones is another great way to protect your confidentiality.

Keep Down Distractions

This is one of the few spaces that is entirely your own and about you. Put your phone on silent and clear other tabs or windows that may prevent you from fully engaging in your session. 

Allow Some Time to Transition

Take a few moments to get settled into your session before immediately jumping on from another activity.  Allow yourself some time to also ease out of your session before transitioning into something else. 

Have a Continual and Open Dialogue

It is important to be open and honest with yourself and therapist about how the sessions are going , so that they can be tailored to meet your needs and you can get the most out of your sessions.
